On 5/31, the Planning Staff reported that the proposal for the warehouses/commercial development had been deferred indefinitely. The developers have withdrawn their proposal. It will not be on the Planning agenda for 6/13, and there is no decision being made on this issue since it has been withdrawn. No public hearing will take place because it is no longer active. The Planning Commission Staff will be conducting a community meeting regarding the proposed warehouse at Briley Parkway and Whites Creek Pike.
On June 13, 2019, the Metro Planning Commission will consider a proposal for a Specific Plan (SP) District that would allow up to 920,000 SF of warehouse/light industrial development for the NW corner of Whites Creek Pike and Briley Parkway. The assembled parcels represent 93 acres zoned Residential (R10). 77 acres under T2 Rural Maintenance Policy and 15 acres along Briley on-ramp under T2 Rural Neighborhood Center Policy. As proposed, this project requires approval of the SP by the Planning Commission and Metro Council. If approved, this project would establish a pattern of development for Whites Creek.
